Christopher Warnick / Architecture has created this 30,000 square foot
wired space to house a company of 150 people, many of whom are digital designers. The approach was to create a democratic plan, allowing equal access to windows, natural light and air, for all.The perimeter 'lounge' spaces encourage the empowerment of individuals through shared space, ideas and information. Instant access to several forms of digital media are available to all through the digital gallery, a series animated images floating on glass panels which become a liner in the space. A fabric has been formed by the cabling and wiring throughout the space, and these elements have been architecturally treated to reinforce the company image. Many of the problems associated with open work space have been cleverly resolved within the design of the workstations and walls with custom acoustic and lighting treatments.
