Situated 2,000 feet above the village of Woodstock, N.Y., this residence needed to be camouflaged from town, yet open to dramatic views of the Hudson River and distant mountain ridges. The structure's compact base firmly anchors to the rugged shale landscape while the main level of the house with its 70' catwalk tethered to the base is inspired by red tail hawks which frequently soar overhead. |
